Data and privacy

Sail keeps your data on your PC unless you turn on something that syncs it.

On your PC#

Your library, profiles, settings and plugin settings live in Sail's folder in your user profile, not where Sail is installed.
Login tokens are stored with Electron's secure storage. On Linux that's only used when a real keyring backs it; otherwise accounts stay off.

Sail can connect to outside services for cloud sync, metadata, Discord Rich Presence, downloads and the Workshop. All of them are optional.

Sail Cloud stores your profiles, libraries and settings if you turn on sync. Paths on your PC and provider secrets stay on your PC. Game saves go to Sail Cloud only if you choose it as a save destination.
Google Drive and Dropbox (Windows) get only the Sail sync files you turn on.
