Files and archives

The everyday file work, plus a few things Windows' own explorer doesn't do.

File operations#

Copy, cut, paste, rename, create shortcuts, and delete to the Recycle Bin or permanently. Right-click menus work with Windows' own context menu, including Show more options.

Undo and redo#

Moves, renames, new files, archive actions and Recycle Bin changes can all be undone and redone, with the buttons in the title bar or the familiar keyboard shortcuts.

Previews#

The preview pane shows images, text and more right inside the window, so you don't have to open another app to see what something is.

Archives#

Open .rar, .7z, .tar, .gz and .bz2 archives right in Rain Explorer, extract them, and compress files into archives.
